The Waning of The Babes

Eden lost a tooth yesterday.
"What should I do with my tooth?"
"Just put it here on the counter so I remember to tell the Tooth Fairy that you lost a tooth."
"Why don't you have Dad give me the money and then we can just throw it away."
Dad was sad.
Mom was a little sad.
Eden was glad.

Ahhhh, yes. I remember semi-clearly the day I figured it all out. And then of course, there was the time, a year later, that Dad came into my room early one morning, and said, "Hey, Malie, the tooth-fairy left you some money, but I was wondering if you'd take change for a dollar?"
Yeah.

Just remember, it's not sad, it's just over.

Is Eden of a practical turn of mind? :-)

I like her "let's-just-cut-out-the-middle-man" attitude. She likes to just get things done, I see.

Too cute.
