LDS Prance

The LDS teens here organized a prom and it was quite a success--they had about 50 kids there (both LDS and non-LDS). I've heard from several people that they might try doing another one next year.

Hope you enjoy these "ready to go" pictures. Feel free to share your own captions.

Jake Depicts Man's Struggle to Grow Up

As he is so fond of reminding me...
"Sam's the Man--Oh Yeah."

The looks on their faces are soooo typical of their personalities! Jake has a "great idea" while Sam listens--skeptically. It makes me chuckle just to look at this.
Here on the island men rarely wear a suit coat even at church, so this was a completely new experience for them. It took some doing to sharpen these two up enough for the event (j/k), but I think they turned out pretty well. They both had dates for the evening. There were photo mementos, so I'll post them when we get them.

Mal's thoughts on the futures of Sam and Jake:
Sam will be a dispicably wealthy gentleman with a social butterfly for a wife and four beautiful daughters he's overly-protective of. Jacob will be a coniving campaign manager that has decided Sam is the man for the white house. He'll probably end up with all sons.

Good grief... look at their faces! Look at Sam's baby-blues! I like the red tie, Jake. I've always thought red+black or pink+black were sexy color-combinations. (What can I say, I'm a Marylin Monroe kind o' girl!)

Oh, but before that, Jake will be a greenie missionary in his daddy's suit!

WOW! I haven't seen pictures of the boys for so long. They look so much older. I just wish we lived closer by so Paris could participate. The Dutch do not dress for anything so he doesn't have a suit. He wants one so I have been looking but it would be so nice to have the boys together. I am sure they would get on so well. Sigh Sigh

We feel exactly the same way Lee. As far as the suits go, they're borrowed--they boys stil don't have suits of their own.

Give me their sizes. I live in the suit capital of the world! Do you realize how many events require young men to be dressed up here in Rexburg? Weddings, formal dances, there are speciatly shops for mission clothing, tuxes, you name it, we've got it. And if not, Utah does.
